Camera Shots and Angles
In AS Media Studies we identified the different types of Camera shots and angles, in which we were prompted to complete a task identifying these shots in what we watch today! This allowed us to sharpen our understanding and distinguish what shots and angles cinematographers use for constructive purposes.

High Angle Shot
Therefore, I chose Business Proposal, a Korean Drama that captured a High Angle Shot at a certain timestamp. This was taken 0:55 from the actual scene, where I identified the angle being used. A High Angle Shot is utilized this way to emphasize the character's location in which she is seen to be drying her hair in a bathroom. This accentuation highlights this situation as unconventional for Shin Ha-ri.

Canted Dutch Angle

Although this is an animated film, at the timestamp 0:04, the animator uses real life filmed angles such as the Canted Dutch angle. This angle in particular utilizes suspense, and mystery, without revealing just yet on what the girls may be looking at. To the audience, this can be interpreted as an event, due to this intriguing the girls, capturing their reactions to something that may be happening over the corner.
Wide Shot
At 1:14, the wide shot of the family, showcases all of the characters' emotions being told new narrative information. The suspense is emphasized heavily due to the nature of being around the table. Some react to what is being said around the table, while others are unfazed from what is being said. The shot chosen for this specific scene was used by the director to establish the context of the scene. By using this, a visually immersive scene would engage the audience and enhance the storytelling for what is about to happen in this scene. (Jackie finds a snake)

Over the Shoulder Shot
At 1:40, the director creatively utilizes an over the shoulder shot for the scene, as the camera hovers over Kitty's shoulder while the actor communicating in this scene is confused why she does not see Minho (the male lead in this show), but rather hiding in the bushes. The camera is angled this way to reveal her reaction to not seeing Minho, when they scheduled a date in this location. So, she communicates that to Kitty, and it's revealed to the audience who she is, what she looks like, as she is presented very well, and as someone important, hence her entrance before talking to Kitty.
