How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
My response
Throughout this project, I integrated a range of technologies, including hardware, software, and online resources, to successfully plan, produce, and refine my media product.
In terms of hardware, I primarily used a smartphone camera and/or digital camera to capture footage, which allowed for flexibility in filming while still achieving high-quality visuals. Camera features such as focus control, tracking movement, and varied shot composition helped me create professional-looking scenes. I also used tripods or stabilizing tools when necessary to improve shot stability and maintain smoother cinematography, particularly during tracking shots and montage sequences.
For software, editing programs such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar editing platforms were essential in assembling the final product. These technologies allowed me to cut and arrange footage, refine pacing, apply transitions, integrate opening credits, and synchronize sound with visuals. Editing software also enabled me to enhance the film’s nostalgic and whimsical tone through color correction, sound layering, and visual effects. Additionally, digital tools for scriptwriting, scheduling, and storyboarding helped organize production efficiently.
Online technologies played a crucial role in research and inspiration. I used online platforms to study genre conventions, analyze existing film openings, and gather aesthetic references from coming-of-age films and youth dramas. Social platforms such as Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok were useful for visual inspiration, editing techniques, and understanding audience trends. Online communication tools also supported collaboration, scheduling, and sharing production ideas with cast or team members.
By combining these technologies, I was able to strengthen both the creative and technical quality of my project. Hardware enabled practical filming, software refined the final presentation, and online resources informed stylistic and production choices.
Overall, the integration of modern technologies was essential to every stage of the project, enhancing efficiency, creativity, and professionalism while reflecting the increasingly digital nature of contemporary media production.
