Logo Design
Designing the Logo for this production was tremendously interchangeable through this process. Different concepts were used for different routes of creativity, but ultimately, I had to understand the creative effects that I wanted to display.
Concept 1:

This was before I knew what the script even looked like for my film. I wanted to produce a logo, without tying the theme to the genre I chose. Therefore, making this cinematic, and not actually creating a logo that resonated with me. This was the rough draft of my design, and embarked me to highlight key points to improve on when making my personal logo.
1. Background: It was lacking color. Based on the film opening I decided to do, it was inexpressive.
2. Simple: Even though the logo had a film tape image, it was too simple and basic. It also was easy to make and put together over the course of 30 minutes.
3: Readability: The U in "LUMINA" was unreadable and looked like a O.

Concept 3:

For this concept, I researched popular logos from production companies: Working Title Films, Disney, Universal Studios, and more. Based on the photo, the process of creativity was expanded on, and the things that were lacking in the previous design, were improved upon.

-Disney Production Logo

For the final logo, I changed the font for the L in "Lumina" and made the star on the "i" illuminated.
Visual Decision: The production name seems unusual right? Initially,
the reason why I decided upon "Lumina" for the production name is due to my technical choice of wanting to illuminate the screen when showcasing my film piece. The background of the production logo reflects light onto the name "Lumina Productions" with stars that twinkle in the sky. Furthermore, this did not seem unrelated to my film opening's theme. A Slice of Life movie is lighthearted, not dramatic. I wanted to showcase a visualization, which could not be depicted into something dramatic but in creative direction.
